Battle for Melonia 1

 Since the first incursion south of the river it seems the Clementines have ordered themselves into two attacking forces.  One is Soranto’s the other lead by Alberto, both forces mirror themselves Horse 1, Foot 4 and Gun 1.  Soranto is to head straight for Elodina, Alberto to go through Melo and meet up with his counterpart for the capture of the capital.

Other nations watch this carefully as both Carrotia and the  Broccolia have ties to Melonia. 

Melonia has not been idle, leaders Franco and Dizeli have raised their own forces. Dizeli has command of Horse 1, Foot 4 and Gun 1.  Franco has a force of Foot 5 and Gun 1, he seems to have had trouble raising cavalry which is notable of the region.

Dizeli’s task now to locate Force Soranto, his suspicions of Soranto moving inward away from the river and Nomi (which if set foot in would surely raise eyebrows in the court of Carrotia) have been rewarded and he finds his quarry close to Vicci, taking the old road.

Meanwhile Alberto has made good time and is heading straight to Melo.  Shocked by the speed Franco is pushed to make the best use of his men to block the advance.

Talks between Carrotia and Broccolia has been slow about the situation though, the talk how this will effect import is of concern. Both parties have representatives within the quarrelling region.
