The Void

So for now, my family and I are housed, temporarily.

Recently life has been pretty harsh, we have had to move out and quickly, we have done it almost in six days with very little to do today.  Sign of the times I guess.

The effort on all of us has been mentally and physically challenging, cracks appeared but we march on into the void.

My children were complete troopers, lending a hand where they could. It’s going to be difficult, but at least we have a roof above us, as opposed floating in the air like a discarded carrier bag.

So what now what of my hobby?

(Up cycled art box that almost went to the dump!)

Well I have this blog and a whole heap of ideas for games(some that I haven’t had yet) with my handy kit, when I get time I can either play, create or paint.

Like many people with depression and anxiety, this hobby helps so much, I would be lost with out it. I’ve been playing, creating and enjoying this multifaceted hobby since the age of 11.

Returning to the hobby, can be rather costly. There are so many great things coming out.  Though this time I had to choose a different way.  What surprised me is how much more enjoyment out of the game I receive by building my own and with the odd charity shop find!  I was also able to play some rules I have never tried before, some of these rules are older than me !

Given the current situation it seemed appropriate to go the 2mm route, I do like using Portable Wargame Rules, but there are a few I have got use to (many I want to try) and actually really rate, it has made me wonder why they have fallen out of grace.

Most of my gaming will more than likely be solo and for my own amusement, but I would like to share what I’m up to, it might be of use to some of you.

I’ve never really documented my musings and hobby activities so I expect it will be an eye opener and maybe I can learn something about myself to boot.
