From idea to play part one

Trial and error, it’s the long way. But hey I’m in no rush.  A majority of times the trial and error does start from existing things you have played, so a majority of us dab hands that have been gaming for an age and then some it comes intuitively.  Unfortunately you end up re inventing the wheel, but does that matter? When you have nothing to begin with ? You have made your wheel.

An enlarged map from my original, mainly so I can use more appropriate pieces for my stupid clumsy fingers.

Let’s roll 1 dice for our grain/wine, one for each side
Red 2
Blue 2
We use these resources to buy our forces and place them in the starting zones.

We make our first moves to controlled zones, these will govern the overall winner of the campaign as they are deemed to be desired locations.

We now close the initial phase of the campaign with 1 more roll a piece dictating how much grain/wine the harvest brings, for newcomers to the effort.

Now we are good to start our fictional Peloponnese campaign.
