The happy zone
Of course I was pleasantly surprised finding this on adventures with the swmbo!
Although these are far from the one I found in a musky old box in class ( oh you’ve finished go pick a book boy)
Of course I was immediately hooked, you see I had an imagination and this began my fall for the gaming hobby.
It is because of these books I asked where can I get one “oh well the school has a library Ioannou”
Lord of the rings was discovered not an easy read but I ploughed through it, then came games work shop and citadel, dungeons and dragons, ral partha and so on.
What annoys me is I have, bar DBA, only discovered the Featherstone, Morschauser’s and many more now, through you (points finger at reading list) As people say better late than never. But still would it have been different ? (I have to ask myself)
The only historical game I saw was Naps “I was to spectate and be quite it required concentration!”
So apart from the abridged version of my gaming history which I feel I owe remembrance (may also enlighten a few reading).
What have I been doing within this happy zone?
Well I have been testing some naval action with portable naval wargame and Morschauser’s rules.
I have fought so many different battles within the first Carlist war, capturing heights and farms etc….I’ve even found time to get some Persians running through Greece; Persians won which was not cricket (especially when you Greek blood but, hey the die decide!)
So what next?
Well the limit is my imagination so let us see! Well and time I am a working father of three !
