Womble report 3

Taking the time to have a look at why Alegria was so playable and what kept me going back to it. If I can get this formula I will be well away!

The setting/struggle “Cristino and Carlist” strong to follow and many different engagements can be gamed.  N.Thomas does some great that can be used for this, scenarios pulled from all over the wargaming years.

If I stick to twelve or so chits in play it should fit my graph paper play maps.

For me my values/ strengths works quite well to simulate the difference in troops.

Elite/Fanatic 5, average 4, levy 3 and Rabble 2 Battle power.

My changes to results work for me also

>both fail: both fall back.

>both pass: both stay put.

>1 passes: chit that fails is removed.

Simplified Oriamendi

Less clutter nicer to follow

Carlist force march up but may get caught out by some cavalry!

Cristino unable to hold the Carlist at bay

In the end a Carlist victory.

All in all 8 turns of fun, although the forces were a lot closer to the same grade in this one.  How ever as always the die chose the victors.
