A goblin too far

The next battle is at C7 and is a capture the tower, I will try to do it justice as it was one of those games, that just went really well, but in a flash!

The forces for this were some experienced goblins from Scars Hobgoblin host, Hobgoblins, goblins and bugbears.

As normal the opponents were broken into what could be in the area and arriving. The tower itself would have a small watch 2 x infantry. Adventurers from Buldurs gate are coming on from the west side of the map on the 4th turn and Paladins of the Companion will be coming in from the road south on the 3rd turn. Once the beacon is lit on the 6th turn 2x infantry will return on the south road.

Here is the initial set up for this battle.

The story so far.

Scar’s host has managed to make the 10 miles to the area with nobody spotting their movements! (Sneaky bleeders!)

UndĂșn tower has stood tall and proud for many years, built by Dwarf craftsman it is in the old style, but as always thwarted many incursion.

The adventurers from Bauldurs gate are chasing leads here from encounters in the fields of the dead and the Paladins of the companion are on route to meet old friends of the realm.

On a grey start to the morning the warning bell chimes, Captain Tyrell Adamus reaches the north face and looks out, a gasp is heard from a nearby soldier, Adonasis in his hushed tone speaks “how is this so? and no raven?”
Light the beacon!, UndĂșn will not fail the realms this day!
Adamus strode off preparing the others and the defences.

Scars host stream forward.

Adamus finds himself swarmed by lesser goblins, while the swift action from the bugbears costs him support from the companions.

Enter the adventures they flip a befuddle on the goblin command and set to closing the distance to the tower.

The lesser goblins only manage to capture the tower for a short while, before the patrol and adventurers reclaim it, the hobgoblins are chased off by what remained of the companions, while the lesser goblins ran for their lives!

Before noon the adventures could see the light flicker in the distance, greeted by the patrol who by now had the time to recognise them properly through the battle haze thanked them for their quick actions.  The companions who remained, made quick with pleasantries eager to understand what had lead to this, they ordered all to attend to duties in a very military manner.

There is just so much written for Forgotten Realms, with a little work you can create something really fantastical! So far so good the games have been a blast.
