Of Halflings and men

It was a glorious day in Elturgard, the wagons meandering and the cool afternoons breeze set a lethargy in the travellers. “What a glorious day” said Tubby Silverpurse as the Halflings recalled the wedding days before.

Old Royster kept his eyes peeled “ tank ye, an ye be wannin to tell em there’s been no critters for a mile now“ the water runner reclaimed the scoop, looked a little petrified and ran ahead.

Now out of all those wonderful things I listed… yep that’s right, full wagon compliment and Halflings.

Now the first turns went as expected, orcs and gnolls got into position.

The great thing was the guards held their own, though eventually it was all a bit too much.

So as the gnolls and orcs have a bit of a set too, the remaining Halflings manage to slip away!

I honestly thought that’s it, barely worth playing.  How wrong was I!  I get the continuation of the narrative plus a new arc, what happens when/if the Halflings get back to Hardbuckler?
